About the book
Heidi portrays the young girl that she never was. Years ago she wanted to be an artist, to study in Vienna at the Academy, but she only got as far as Innsbruck. Now she is married with a child that she never wanted. Only when she meets Carmen, the pretty trainee from the bakery, does she start to dream again. - Bruno has worked for 30 long years as a porter in a hotel. He went to his doctor and might be confronted by devastating results. But at present, the night before the final results, he is still waiting. But he is sure it won’t be anything serious. For a moment he feels totally happy.
These are the turning points in our lives when something dramatic takes place, but we hardly notice it. Moments suspended in time. A whole new world opens up and you see the blind alley you ended up in a long time ago. And suddenly a new light shines through.
