StartWeek 2021 The StartWeek 2021 takes place from 13 to 17 September. Updated 10 September 2021 +++ Important changes due to the coronavirus +++ On Monday, 13 September, a capacity limit will be enacted on the basis of the decision of the Federal Council (8 September 2021). This will have implications on the group rooms. Here you can find the updated "overview of group rooms". Your StartWeek 2021 will still start on Monday, 13 September. The number of your StartGroup (see StartLetter page 2) has not changed! StartWeek as the beginning of your studies Since 2001, new students have been gathering every year for a week before the start of the semester to familiarise themselves with their new surroundings at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) during the StartWeek. The StartWeek is integral to the Assessment Year at the HSG and prepares beginning students for everyday campus life and for their new role at the university. The StartWeek 2021 is supported for the eighth time by our presenting partner "Helvetia Insurance". StartCase, InfoSessions and new surroundings Every StartWeek is dedicated to a specific topic, which students explore with the help of a case study. This year's topic is again "Artificial Intelligence". In addition to the case study, students attend various InfoSessions on the university's administrative system, teaching and learning system, IT structure and the library. Information about the books and scripts for the first semester can be found at the Skriptekommision. The StartWeek also enables students to get to know each other. The relationships that are formed during this week often last throughout the time of your studies. IMPORTANT: The concept of the StartWeek has been adapted to the framework conditions regarding the current Corona situation and will be revised continuously, if necessary, according to the respective situation. All new students are asked to check this page regularly and especially on Sunday before the StartWeek 2021 (12 September)! All changes will be communicated via this page. Wi-Fi is available on campus. Please also make sure that you have a stable internet connection at home by the beginning of the StartWeek.
